Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av polymere Lewis X-sakkarider med formel hvor X er OC(=NH)CC13 (TCAI), Z eller S; Z er OCH2CH(NHCOCuH2u.j )CH(OH)CH=CHCVH- 2..!,- S er (CH2)qCOOR' ' ; R er OH eller R"; R" er OAc, OBn eller OBz; R'er OH, OAc eller OPiv; R'' er C1-C4-alkyl; Ac er acetyl; Bn er benzyl; Bz er benzoyl; Piv er pivaloyl; n er et helt tall fra O til 7; q er et helt tall fra 4 til 12; u er et helt tall fra 13 til 23; og v er et helt tall fra 11 til 17. De polymere sakkaridene kan syn- tetiseres stereoselektivt i høye utbyt- ter. Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av tilsvarende mellomprodukter.
