Abstract
A therapeutic peptide comprising from 7 up to 10 amino acid residues, the peptide being an analogue of one of the following: naturally occurring peptides ending at the carboxy end with a Met residue; (a) litorin; (b) the 10-amino acid carboxy end region of mammalian GRP, neuromedin C; and (c) the amino acid carboxy end region of amphibious bombesin, which is an agonist of one of the naturally occurring peptides.
