Abstract

Metallic lid for a container intended to retain a hazardous or corrosive substance. According to the invention, the lid has its central wall (12) at a short distance from the top of the outer rolled edge (13) and a peripheral annular groove (15) is defined between the said rolled edge and the said central wall, the inner lateral wall (15b) of this groove including an annular stiffening shoulder (16).
