Description
The present invention relates to a layered material designed especially for building elements, as well as a method for producing this.
Building elements are usually produced by a structural combination of materials or substances with suitable mutually adapted strength and elasticity as well as resistance to external factors. The most commonly used materials are a cement-aggregate mixture that is reinforced with steel in the form of rods, wires, cables or nets, usually in a three-dimensional arrangement. Today, there is a greater use of layered materials, especially those containing synthetic resins and glass fibers which make up the reinforcement that is usually placed in these materials. There are also known layered materials of the "sandwich" type which consist of several layers, each of which is made up of materials with suitable strength, insulation properties, decorative properties or other properties, the sum of these properties giving the desired final effect.
An effect is also known which consists in sometimes even multiplying the strength of brittle substances by the fact that the reinforcement is distributed in the substance, e.g. insertion of netting in concrete that is reinforced with steel and glass fibre. However, such distributed reinforcement will only increase the tensile strength of the brittle material and has no effect on the increase in compressive strength.
An effect is also known which consists of an increase in strength due to the combination of different materials, where the brittle materials take up compression stresses and the plastic materials take up tensile stresses.
It is known that this strength can be increased significantly by means of a prestressing of a brittle substance. This fact has been used for the material according to the invention, as it has unexpectedly been found that the effect of a pre-stressing of a brittle sub-i; stopping can be achieved by combining at least one surface with a fibrous material that remains in a tensioned state. In accordance with the stress requirements and the required thickness for the material, it is possible to obtain a material consisting of a large number of layers of compressed substance and compressed fiber material which are arranged alternatively and which together form a multi-layer material with strength properties that are completely different from the which would otherwise appear with separate layers and even with cast objects obtained from the same combined layers without stress or pressure influence of layers of the same type.
Således vil anvendelsen av den beskrevne virkningThus, the application of the described effect will
med forspenning av substansen ved å kombinere den i henhold til oppfinnelsen med en spenningspåvirket, orientert fiber mulig-gjøre oppnåelsen, ut fra kjente materialer som f. eks. plast-sementblanding, asbest-sementmaterialer og andre, av produkter med meget høy styrke som overskrider styrken for produkter forsterket ved hjelp av kjent teknologi bare med fibermaterialer, with pre-tensioning of the substance by combining it according to the invention with a tension-affected, oriented fiber enable the achievement, based on known materials such as e.g. plastic-cement mixture, asbestos-cement materials and others, of products with very high strength that exceed the strength of products reinforced using known technology only with fiber materials,
This effect of increasing the strength of the material according to the invention is. surprising and not of course. At this point, it is sufficient to give the following example: An asbestos-cement board combined on both surfaces with fiberglass that is not in a state affected by tension had a toughness of 250 kg/cm, while the same board with fiberglass attached to both surfaces and built up in accordance with the invention in a stress-affected state close to the strength limits had a toughness of 1200 kg/cm 2. The material according to the invention thus consists of at least one layer of binder aggregate combined with on its surface by means of a synthetic resin at least one layer of fiber material, preferably glass fiber , and particularly advantageously in the form of a cloth, whereby the fibrous material is in a state of suitably provided tension influence.
In accordance with an advantageous embodiment, the material according to the invention has, instead of synthetic resin as binder, a binder of mineral origin, e.g. water glass, and most advantageously silica gel obtained in a known manner from water glass.
The described embodiment of the invention is very advantageous due to the fact that synthetic resins (which similar material previously contained) significantly limit their durability which is... limited by the durability of the resin itself, and durability of resin is of course unequal -comparably shorter than the lifetime or durability of binders of mineral origin.
The manufacturing method for the described layered material consists in providing a tension force effect on the fiber layer and that these tension-affected fibers are combined with a layer of the construction substance by means of a binder which is a synthetic resin or an agent of mineral origin which maintains the tension force effect until the binder has hardened. The aforementioned tension force which has an effect on the fibers is obtained by exerting a tension force on the end of the fibers and/or the edges of the fiber cloth. In some cases, the force directions will cross each other in a plane, particularly directions that are perpendicular to each other.
Due to stress on the glass fibers before they are combined, e.g. with asbestos-cement sheets, known as Eternit, the properties of the combined materials are used, i.e. high tensile strength for the glass fibers with at the same time low modulus for direct elasticity and good compression strength for the asbestos-cement sheets. Examination of this monolithic combined device has shown that it provides completely new properties that result in great elasticity and, moreover, a multifold increase in strength in the stretched zone and also a significant increase in strength in the compressed zone, which cannot be observed in any other reinforced material.
These properties of the material give the possibility of a light and varied spatial design of the material without reducing the described strength properties, and because of this the material is also non-flammable and corrosion-proof and can be used for the construction of lightweight constructions, heavily loaded, corrosion-proof and non-flammable constructions in houses, industrial buildings, agricultural facilities, roads, railways, ships, mining and many branches of industry. The material also enables the avoidance or reduction of consumption of steel, cement and wood material.
De nedenfor angitte tabeller viser i spaltene 2 og 3 på en sammenlignende måte egenskapene til selve materialet (2) og egenskapene til det samme materiale (Eternit) komprimert ved begge sider ved flater ved hjelp av glassfiberduk med seksjonen av varpen og veften på For example roof constructions in industrial buildings made of the material according to the invention are over ten times lighter than reinforced concrete and compressed constructions that have been used until now, and the support and roof constructions are over five times lighter. The tables given below show in columns 2 and 3 in a comparative way the properties of the material itself (2) and the properties of the same material (Eternit) compressed on both sides by surfaces using glass fiber cloth with the section of the warp and the weft on

EksemplerExamples
A binder in the form of water glass with a modulus of 2.7 - 2.9 was distributed on an asbestos-cement sheet which had been carefully mixed with sodium fluorosilicate in a suitable stoichiometric amount. Then this surface was combined with glass fiber cloth that had been stretched to its tensile limits, the warp and weft section being 0.5 cm 2 /m, and then the whole and the force for stretching the fibers was held for approximately two hours. The plate obtained had the properties indicated in the aforementioned ta-bell.
The same procedure was used for a plate where synthetic resin was used as a binder. For example polyester resins known as "Polimal" were used as this resin.
For example roof constructions in industrial buildings made from the material according to the invention prove to be over ten times lighter than reinforced concrete and compression constructions used until now, and the support and roof constructions are over five times lighter. The table below shows, in columns 2 and 3, comparisons of properties between the material itself (2) and the properties of the same material (Eternit) compressed on both sides at the surfaces using glass fiber cloth with the warp and weft section of 0, 5 cm2/m.
