Description
Device for supplying disinfectant liquid or similar to a toilet cistern.
Beskrivelse: Description:
1-3. The present invention relates to a device for supplying disinfectant liquid or the like to a toilet cistern with a pump device and an associated container with disinfectant liquid is placed inside the cistern and where the pump's operating device is connected to the toilet's flush button which is located outside the cistern, and where the pumping action of the pump device occurs when the flush button is moved, as well as a tube between the flush button and the container for filling the container with disinfectant liquid. Refer to the attached fig. 1-3.
Generelt: Generally:
Various pump devices for adding liquid to cisterns with various refills are known through publications related to patenting refer: DE 19631078, FR 2699572, US 5073992. It may seem complicated to use these systems as the possibility of liquid level control during use and refilling is not included in these publications. Furthermore, there is no documented solution that makes it possible to mount an independent pump directly under the flush button. Below is described a very simple and cost-effective solution with filling control that makes it practically possible to check the level and filling of the additive liquid. Independently of the tank, the pump is mounted on a flexible rail (9) which makes adaptation of the pump under the flush button very flexible with a small degree of adaptation and great flexibility for the impact (pressure length) of the flush button system (4&5). Refer fig.l and fig. 3. The solution in Fig. 2 is a solution which is approximately known through document DE 19631078 with the exception of level control and weighting down. This solution will be inflexible and requires a high degree of adaptation of the pump under the flush button.
What is new about this solution is primarily the ability to check the level of liquid in the tank both during use and during refilling, which is essential for the system to be practically usable. Furthermore, separation of pump and tank by pipes/hoses with mounting on a flexible rail is essential for whether the system is practically usable. Overall, this must be regarded as significantly different from previously documented technical solutions for this purpose.
Detaljert beskrivelse: Detailed description:
The tank (1) is attached to the cistern (10), hung from the cistern lid or stands on the bottom of the cistern. In new toilets, the tank can be integrated and adapted to suppliers with regard to space.
The attached drawings show a system where the tank is suspended in a rail (8) which spans across the cistern and lies on the cistern edges. (Also attached is a figure of the tank placed on the bottom of a cistern. This can stand by itself with ballast that counteracts buoyancy or be attached, for example, to the bottom of the cistern. Refer to fig. 2, Optionally, the tank can stand on a stand, with min. three bones). In the figures, the tank is just an ordinary plastic jug (1) where the lid is pierced for pipe/hose supply. Two pipes/hoses (2 & 6) run from the tank. 6 millimeter plastic hose is used in the figures. The pump pipe leads to an ordinary pump (3) which, when under pressure, produces a short stream of liquid from the tank to the cistern. The pump is mounted on a metal rail (9) which spans across the edges of the cistern. The pump is depressed when the toilet flush mechanism is depressed. The button has been modified into a funnel/cup (4) with a transparent cover (5). The cover is screwed or pressed into place. This makes it possible to fill the tank with the desired additive, while keeping the button design almost as before. In the center of the bottom of the funnel/beaker, the flushing mechanism is attached. (As in most cases in today's toilet.) A little to the side of the center of the funnel/beaker base, the filling pipe (6) is attached (in the figures: 6 millimeter plastic hose). This tube will move up and down with modified flush button. A level indicator (7) preferably made of plastic is installed inside the pipe. This indicator will have limited range of motion and must therefore be equipped with transverse stops at the tube ends near the floating body (7). Drain pipes with a level indicator must be able to have a clear distance to the bottom of the tank so that they are free to move with the flush button. If not, a rubber hose and a corresponding flexible level indicator can be used. The tank should be positioned so that the top of the tank where the hoses enter is above the water surface in the cistern, as this reduces requirements for sealing the tank
Jfr. oppdrift ved tom tank. during the passage of pipes/hoses. If you don't want sealing requirements around penetrations to the tank, an indicator for a full tank can be installed (13). This is shown in fig.3, where a part has been cut out at the top of the hose to make room for a buoyancy body (13) on the outside attached to an indicator rod inside the filling pipe. The more of the tank that is above the water surface, the simpler the suspension construction. Cf. buoyancy at empty tank.
Toilet flush systems that are based on draft instead of pressure, the liquid matching system can be adapted by turning the pump upside down and attaching a clamping device to the flush rod. This clamp must have a mounting device against the pump button.
The advantage of the solution described above is that it is materially very cheap and feasible both on new and already installed toilets.
