The pipe connection according to the invention is particularly advantageous when connecting plastic pipes, but can of course be used when connecting every other pipe. The coupling housing 1 can be made of metal, e.g. brass. However, this does not prevent the coupling housing 1 from being made of other suitable material if necessary. The disk 12 for holding the clamping ring 4 and the nearby gasket 5, possibly also with a support sleeve for internal repulsion of the pipe 3, can be made of a suitable material other than plastic if necessary. The coupling housing 1 can be connected to another object, e.g. another coupling housing, by means of a threaded connection or other suitable connection, and sealed with a suitable gasket, e.g. an O-ring 15, as shown.
