Abstract

Disclosed is a cooling- and barrier fluid system (7, 12, 17), for a subsea motor and pump or compressor assembly (1, 2) comprising a motor (1) arranged to be drivingly connected to a pump or compressor rotor (2). The motor is provided an electronic drive unit (8), comprising electronic and/or mechanical components, or devices which regulate the supply of electrical power to the motor, and wherein barrier fluid is supplied to the system from a topside or submerged barrier fluid source at a pressure that is effective for separation of the motor from a fluid processed by the pump or compressor in operation. The barrier fluid system comprises a barrier fluid flow loop (17) extended to the electronic drive unit (8) and by which barrier fluid is fed through the electronic drive unit (8).Disclosed is a cooling and barrier fluid system (7, 12, 17), for a subsea motor and pump or compressor assembly (1, 2) comprising a motor (1) arranged to be drivingly connected to a pump or compressor rotor (2) ). The motor is provided with an electronic drive unit (8), comprising electronic and / or mechanical components, or devices which regulate the supply of electrical power to the motor, and that barrier fluid is supplied to the system from a topside or submerged barrier fluid source. at a pressure that is effective for separating the engine from a fluid processed by the pump or compressor in operation.
