Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for protecting subsea well structures located on a seabed, where the apparatus for protecting subsea well structures comprises a frame structure comprised of structural members, where the frame structure is adapted to encompass the subsea well structures it is to protect, and deflector means connected to the frame structure, where the deflector means is/are being adapted to extend away from the frame structure when the protection structure is located on the seabed, the deflector means contacting the seabed at a distance from the frame structure, thereby defining a sloping deflector surface extending upwardly from the seabed and to the frame structure.
