Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for behandling av seismiske data, hvor dataene innbefatter et sett med seismiske traser der hver trase innbefatter et signal som er blitt registrert av en sensor etter å ha forplantet seg i et undergrunnsområde, i det signalet er definert ved hjelp av en amplitude som en funksjon av tid, innbefattende følgende trinn: migrasjon av data i henhold til en innledende tid/hastighet-modell; utplukking i de tidsmigrerte dataene av en eller flere hendelser svarende til en eller flere undergrunnsreflektorer for å fremskaffe fasetter som lokalt approksimerer hendelsen; kinematisk demigrasjon av fasettene som er plottet, for å fremskaffe forenklede seismiske data i form av et sett med fasetter og et sett med attributter tilknyttet fasettene.
