Abstract

Den nye lavkarbon kjemiske sammensetning og mikrostruktur omfatter i vektprosent, karbon 0.04-0.10, mangan 0.40-0.70, silisium 0.15-0.35, krom 0.40-0.70, molybden 0.40-0.70, nikkel 0.10-0.40, nitrogen maksimum0.008, aluminium 0.010-0.045, svovel maksimum 0.005, fosfor maksimum 0.020, titan 0.003-0.020, niob 0.020-0.035, vanadium ikke mer enn 0.10, kobber maksimum 0.20, tinn maksimum 0.020, og maksimum 0.43 karbonekvivalent samt PCM ikke mer enn 0.23 og med en flytegrense på minst 65000 psi, bruddfasthet på minst 77000 psi og et forholdstall YS/UTS (flytegrense/bruddfasthet) mindre enn 0.89 i materiale representativt for rørlegeme, overgangssone og stuket endestykke.The invention discloses plated flexible steel risers with new chemical low-carbon composition and microstructure, as well as method for making them, which results in higher lifetime improvement as this is related to the risers segment in the impact field. Low carbon plated flexible steel riser achieves the desired properties by being subjected to heat treatment. The new low carbon chemical composition and microstructure include in weight percent, carbon 0.04-0.10, manganese 0.40-0.70, silicon 0.15-0.35, chrome 0.40-0.70, molybdenum 0.40-0.70, nickel 0.10-0.40, nitrogen maximum 0.008, aluminum 0.010-0.045 , sulfur maximum 0.005, phosphorus maximum 0.020, titanium 0.003-0.020, niob 0.020-0.035, vanadium not more than 0.10, copper maximum 0.20, tin maximum 0.020, and maximum 0.43 carbon equivalent as well as PCM not more than 0.23 and with a yield limit of at least 65000 psi, breaking strength of at least 77000 psi and a ratio of YS / UTS (flow limit / breaking strength) less than 0.89 in material representative of pipe body, transition zone and broken end piece.
