Abstract

Ved transport og behandling av naturgass brukes flytende nitrogen og flytende karbondioksid i en varmevekslingsprosess for flytendegjøring av naturgass som tilføres fra et feltsted. Den flytendegjorte naturgassen transporteres til et regassifiseringsanlegg hvor kald energi i en del av den flytendegjorte naturgassen brukes i en luftsepareringsinnretning for produsering av flytende nitrogen og oksygen. Oksygenet forbrennes i et kraftproduksjonsanlegg hvor karbondioksid fra forbrenningen innfanges. Dette karbondioksidet flytendegjøres ved hjelp av en annen del av den flytendegjorte naturgassen. Det flytendegjorte nitrogenet og det flytende karbondioksidet blir så transportert for bruk for ytterligere flytendegjøring av naturgass tilført fra feltstedet.In the transportation and treatment of natural gas, liquid nitrogen and liquid carbon dioxide are used in a heat exchange process for liquefaction of natural gas supplied from a field site. The liquefied natural gas is transported to a regasification plant where cold energy in a portion of the liquefied natural gas is used in an air separation device for producing liquid nitrogen and oxygen. The oxygen is incinerated in a power generation plant where carbon dioxide from the combustion is captured. This carbon dioxide is liquefied by means of another part of the liquefied natural gas. The liquefied nitrogen and liquid carbon dioxide are then transported for use for further liquefaction of natural gas supplied from the field site.
