Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å øke cetantallet for en drivstoffblanding som inneholder en FischerTropsch-avledet drivstoffkomponent, for å oppnå et tilsiktet cetantall X, ved tilsetning til blandingen av en konsentrasjon c av et tenningsforbedrende middel, hvor c er lavere enn den konsentrasjon som teorien ville forutsi å være nødvendig å tilsette til blandingen for å oppnå siktemålet. Det tenningsforbedrende middel er fortrinnsvis 2-etylheksyinitrat, og drivstoffblandingen er hensiktsmessig et diesel- eller kerosendrivstoff.En drivstoffblanding for anvendelse i en dieselmotor, som har et cetantall på 85 eller mer, som inneholder en Fischer-Tropsch-avledet drivstoffkomponent og et tenningsforbedrende middel.
