Abstract

A communication channel extends between the communication unit on the surface and the communication unit near the seabed. A multiplexer is functionally connected to the communication interface for each of the units, namely the unit on the surface and the unit at the seabed. At least two spacer units are operatively connected to the seabed multiplexer. The spacer units comprise at least one of: a sensor and a control. At least two corresponding devices are connected to the surface multiplexer. The two corresponding units comprise at least one of: a signal acquisition unit and a control signal generation unit.
