Abstract

En rengjøringsanordning for en seismisk streamer innbefatter et hus som kan plasseres på utsiden av streameren. En turbin er forbundet med huset og er innrettet for å bli rotasjonsmessig drevet ved bevegelse av streameren gjennom en vannmasse. Et drivelement er tilknyttet huset, og er innrettet for å omforme rotasjonsbevegelse av turbinen til en drivkraft for å bevege huset langs streameren. Minst ett rengjøringselement er forbundet med huset og er samvirkende i inngrep med utsiden av den seismiske streameren. En fremgangsmåte for å rengjøre en streamer innbefatter å slepe streameren gjennom vannet. Bevegelsen gjennom vannet blir omformet til drivkraft for å bevege en rengjøringsanordning langs streameren.
