Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte og apparat for å oppnå NMR-spinnekkosignaler fra en jordformasjon. Fremgangsmåten er særpreget ved at den omfatter de trinn å føre et loggeverktøy inn i et borehull i jordformasjonen, å polarisere kjernespinn i jordformasjonen ved bruk av en magnet på loggeverktøyet, å pulse en antenne p'a loggeverktøyet med en pulssekvens og frembringe spinnekkosignaler, idet pulssekvensen omfatter en eksiteringspuls og minst én refokuseringspuls, idet eksiteringspulsen og nevnte minst ene refokuseringspuls begge har hver sine første og andre assosierte volumer hvor en resonansbetingelse tilfredsstilles, idet loggeverktøyet er en bevegelse mellom et tidspunkt for påtrykking av eksiteringspulsing og et tidspunkt for påtrykking av den minst ene refokuseringspulsen, og å selektere en parameter ved minst én av (A) eksiteringspulsen, og, (B) den minst ene refokuseringspuls, og opprettelse av et forutbestemt forhold mellom det første og andre volum.
