Ventil for bruk i et brønnhull med et innløp (106) forbundet med arbeidsstrengen som den er forankret til. Innløpet etablerer en strømningsvei med et første tverrsnittsareal. En tetningsmontasje omfattende et fjærbelastet tettelokk (57) beveges inne i et ytre rørformet legeme (84) for å åpne og lukke et antall porter (120) anbragt gjennom legemet. Portene (120) etablerer en strømningsvei med et kombinert tverrsnittsareal som er større enn det første tverrsnittsareal og ventilen er plassert slik at fluidstrøm gjennom innløpet (106) beveger tettelokket for å åpne ventilen og danne en uhindret strønmingsvei mellom innløpet (106) og portene (120) med neglisjerbart trykkfall. En utførelsesform omfatter en skjærring (75) som tilrettelegger for trykktesting ovenfra. En annen utførelsesform omfatter en lastregulator som hjelper til med å stenge ventilen. Ventilen kan være en høytløftende injeksjonsventil.
