En fremgangsmåte for konfigurering av dette systemet innbefatter de følgende trinn: installering av døradgangskontrollenhetene av et første sertifikat utstedt av en fremstiller (1 00) av låssystemet; tilveiebringelse i administreringsdatamaskinen (110) av et andre sertifikat utstedt av låssystemeieren og signert av fremstilleren; overføring fra administreringsdatamaskinen til en første døradgangskontrollenhet blant døradgangsenhetene av det signerte, andre sertifikat sammen med en symmetrisk krypteringsnøkkel som brukes av låssystemeieren; installering ved hjelp av asymmetrisk kryptering av det andre sertifikat i den første døradgangskontrollenhet etter en sjekking av autentisiteten av det signerte andre sertifikat; og etablering av symmetrisk krypteringsforbindelse mellom administreringsdatamaskinen og den første døradgangsenhet. På denne måten oppnås en enkel og allikevel sikker installering av låssystemet.
