Abstract

Sammendrag Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer et seismiske undersøkelses- og avbildningssystem for fremstilling av seismiske undersøkelsesrapporter for fremstilling av undersjøiske, geologiske strukturer. Undersøkelsessystemet tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte ved hvilken både P-bølger og S-bølger detekteres uten behov for å anbringe en deteksjonsinnretning i kontakt med sjøbunnen. En seismisk hendelse (12) anvendes på jordoverflaten (13), og responsen omfattende P-bølger og S-bølger i jordoverflaten detekteres og analyseres. Deteksjonsinnretningen omfatter en anordning for overvåking og registrering av responsen på den seismiske hendelse i form av bevegelser av partikler ved jordoverflaten, fra en posisjon som er atskilt fra jordoverflaten. Partikler ved overflaten vil reagere på både P-bølge- og S-bølgestimulering, og deres bevegelser vil således være representative for de to bølger. Disse bevegelser detekteres på avstand.
