Abstract
Et fiberoptisk partikkelbevegelsesakselerometer har et hus med et midtparti montert i seg slik at midtpartiet bøyes som respons på akselerasjon langs en føleakse. En prøvemasse er montert på en ytre kant av midtpartiet. En første spiralviklet fiberoptisk kveil er montert til en første side av midtpartiet og en andre spiralviklet fiberoptisk kveil er montert til den andre side av midtpartiet. Den første hengsel er formet i midtpartiet tilstøtende til monteringen av midtpartiet i huset, og et andre hengsel er formet i midtpartiet mellom prøvemassen og de første og andre fiberoptiske kveiler. De fiberoptiske kveilene er omfattet i et interferometer slik at akselerasjon langs føleaksen produserer en faseforskjell mellom optiske signaler som forplanter seg i de optiske fiberkveilene.
