Abstract

Innretning for generering av elektrisk kraft i et borehull (1) i en grunnformasjon (3). Borehullet har en kanal (10, 34) for passering av en strøm av hydrokarbonfluid som frembringes fra formasjonen (3), og innretningen har en ekspansjonsdel (12) for innsetting i kanalen (10, 34) og en termoelektrisk generator (20) med en første vegg (22, 52) i termisk kontakt med strømmen av hydrokarbonfluid, og en andre vegg (24, 54) i termisk kontakt med formasjonen (3). Ekspansjonsdelen (12) har en side- lomme (14, 44) med en åpen ende (16, 46) ved den indre flate av kanalen (10, 34), og generatoren (20) er plassert i denne lomme (14, 44).
