Kniven (3) er vridd i forhold til bevegelsesretningen for buen (9) og slipt kun på den ene siden. Osten (8) legges på underlaget (7) som på undersiden har en mutter (4) og et styrelager (5). En ledeskrue (2) som passer til mutter (4) og styrelager (5), ligger i åpne utsparinger i stativet (6) som opptar aksielle og radielle krefter fra skruen (2). Skruen (2) er forbundet til et fingerratt (1) med hakk. En fjærbelastet kule (11) som er montert i stativet (6), går inn i hakket på fingerrattet (1).
