Abstract

It is arranged in the stack of arc splitters (20,21,22,23; 38,36,37; 50 to 54) which are offset along a line (24,43,55) running in the arc direction, thus forming two laminating sections (25.26) running in parallel. The laminations are laid on one another and an insulating layer or layer (29,31) is occupied between the sections in mutual contact, while the other sections of two neighboring laminations in each case enclose the common space necessary for arc closure. It is thus possible to accommodate splitters in a stack which is the same volume as in a stack in which all the splitters are flat in one plane.
