Abstract

System og fremgangsmåte for å registrere et kameras posisjon og orientering som omfatter - minst to transpondere anordnet i kjente posisjoner i forhold til en referanse på kameraet, - minst to detektorer utformet for å kunne bestemme avstanden fra den respektive detektoren til de nevnte transponderne, - utstyr for, i et valgt koordinatsystem, å beregne en posisjon for de nevnte transponderne og en vektor som representerer retningen for en referanseakse på kameraet basert på data fra de nevnte detektorene og - kommunikasjonsforbindelser mellom de respektive enheter i systemet. Fra minst to basisposisjoner bestemmes avstanden til transponderne når basisposisjonene er kjente posisjoner i et valgt koordinatsystem, posisjonen for transponderne i det valgte koordinatsystem beregnes, og fra disse beregnes en retningsvektor som representerer retningen til en referanseakse på kameraet.A system and method for detecting a camera's position and orientation comprising - at least two transponders arranged in known positions relative to a reference on the camera, - at least two detectors designed to determine the distance from the respective detector to said transponders, - equipment to calculate, in a selected coordinate system, a position of said transponders and a vector representing the direction of a reference axis on the camera based on data from said detectors and communication links between the respective units of the system.
