Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en sidekanalsentrifugalpumpe med et hus som danner en sidekanal (1). Husflaten nær sidekanalen danner en forside (13) som ligger nær impelleren. Overgangskanten (2, 3, 7) mellom sidekanalen (1) og forsiden (3) er avrundet i områdene der den avviker fra den omkretsmessige retningen. I forplanet har bladene (16) til impelleren en gitt ribbebredde i den omkretsmessige retningen. Ifølge oppfinnelsen er radien (15) til overgangskanten (7) større enn 0,25 (sek. /m) ganger produktet av ribbebredden x bladhastigheten der impellerbladene (16) går ut fra forsiden (13, 14) og overlapper inn i området til sidekanalen (1). Dette reduserer kavitasjon og støy.
