Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for koding av signaleringsinform- asjon i et pakkeradiosystem, samt et pakkeradiosystem som omfatter minst en basestasjon (112) og abonnentterminal (150), hvor signaler som skal sendes på en radioforbindelse (170) mellom basestasjonen (112) og abonnentterminalen (150), danner blokker som omfatter skurer som består av symboler, i det skuren omfatter en treningssekvens (302) som modulasjonsinformasjon er innbefattet i. Oppfinnelsen kjennetegnes ved at signaleringsinformasjon blir kodet sammen med modulasjonsinformasjonen som angår hele blokken, inn i blokkens treningssek- venser (302). Kodingen muliggjør for eksempel en høyere dataoverføringshastig- het, fordi det ikke er nødvendig å reservere databiter for eksempel for koding av opplink-tilstandsflagg.
