Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a vest for continuous tube feeding with a front part and a back part which are held together by means of two shoulder parts as well as along its edges, and where at least one part can be opened for putting on and taking off, as the front part has pockets for storage of a pump and at least one container for the nutrient solution.
Ernæring ved infusjon er særlig problematisk ved problempasienter og barn, da disse ofte ikke kan bindes til sengen og denne ernæringsmåte således oppleves som en ulempe. to the infusion therapy, which is usually carried out in a hospital, so that the patient is tied to the bed, even if he is in and of himself mobile. This entails significant costs for patient treatment and a hospital bed is charged, even if the patient could have been treated on an outpatient basis. Nutrition by infusion is particularly problematic for problem patients and children, as these often cannot be tied to the bed and this method of nutrition is thus perceived as a disadvantage.
This problem can be solved by using a continuous enteral feeding tube, whereby the patient is supplied with liquid nutrition through a snake-like feeding tube. The nutritional solution is then available in a bag or container whose outlet is connected to the feeding tube through a line. The line is led through a pump, usually designed as a roller pump, which brings the nutrient solution through the feeding tube with a certain continuous pumping capacity. From the pump, the feeding tube passes through a body opening on the patient, for example through the nose, and into the patient's body, preferably in the gastrointestinal area.
Continuous enteral nutrition is particularly appropriate when one has the following disease states: severe maldigestion and malabsorption syndromes, postoperative treatment after stomach and intestinal resections, hypercatabolic conditions, for example carcinoma.
In such conditions, early enteral nutrition is not possible
bare gjennomføres stasjonært, men også ambulant, da det er only carried out on an inpatient basis, but also on an outpatient basis, as it is
mulig a oppnå en nøyaktig dosering, ernæringsoppbygningen frem til tarmens tilpassing til den nødvendige næringsstofftilfør-sel kan kontrolleres, næringsstoffene utnyttes gunstigere enn ved diskontinuerlig sonde-ernæring, den konstante ernæring muliggjør en høyere energitilførsel, komplikasjonsfaren er liten, og man særlig for diabetikere kan oppnå en ulignet stoffvekslingsstyring. it is possible to achieve an accurate dosage, the nutritional structure up to the adaptation of the intestine to the necessary nutrient supply can be controlled, the nutrients are utilized more favorably than with discontinuous tube feeding, the constant nutrition enables a higher energy supply, the risk of complications is small, and one, especially for diabetics, can achieve an unequal metabolic control.
In order to be mobile, the patients carry the enteral nutrition system on their body, and corresponding measures must therefore be taken.
A known vest for parenteral nutrition resembles a normal suit vest. The front part continuously transitions into the two shoulder parts, and the back part covers the entire back in the conventional design. The vest itself is made of a net-like synthetic material, which does allow the skin to breathe, but is not particularly sweat-friendly. In the middle of the front, the vest can be opened with a zip. As the side and back parts are firmly connected to each other along the edges in the underarm area, the vest must be adapted to different body sizes, which necessitates extensive vest production depending on the patient's stature.
Furthermore, on the well-known vest, which in its entire width is passed over the patient's chest area, bag pockets are arranged directly in the chest area. Such a device builds up and is therefore not particularly comfortable and also hinders the patient's freedom of movement, particularly in the case of female patients. In addition, this known vest has an unfavorable weight distribution due to the different heights of the attached parts (pump and container) as well as their arrangement in relation to the longitudinal axis of the body.
The purpose of the present invention is therefore to provide a vest of the type mentioned at the outset, which vest has a larger fitting area and yet offers the patient the greatest possible freedom of movement, while at the same time providing a better balanced weight distribution.
According to the invention, it is therefore proposed that the front part of the vest is designed as a stomach belt, where the pockets for receiving the pump and the container are arranged next to each other, the stomach belt being adjustable in width.
Compared to the known vest, the new vest has the advantage that the front part is designed as a belt that grips the patient's stomach. The belt therefore sits under the patient's chest and is passed around the patient's stomach to the back. The back part can be designed as a normal back part, or it can advantageously also be designed as a belt with the same size ratio for the front part.
To ensure that the vest fits securely, the abdominal belt is equipped with two length-adjustable shoulder straps that go over the patient's shoulders and are connected to the back part. As the harness length can be changed, it is ensured that the vest can be adapted to different torso lengths in an exact fit.
It has proven particularly advantageous to let the belly belt be adjustable with regard to the width at the side edges, i.e. at the side transition between the front and back part, so that a single vest can cover women's sizes 36-42 and men's sizes up to 52 This expansion option is achieved in a preferred embodiment by the fact that a Velcro fastener is arranged on one and preferably on both sides, which enables continuous adaptation to different body sizes.
Furthermore, the pockets for receiving the pump and the bag or container for the nutritional solution are arranged next to each other on the belt so that a mainly even weight distribution is achieved around the patient's longitudinal axis. In addition, the weight of the pump and bag will be at the level of the stomach, which is subjectively perceived as more comfortable than a weight carried on the chest.
Ytterligere fordeler, utførelsesformer og detaljer vil gå frem av underkravene og av den etterfølgende beskrivelse under hen-visning til tegningen, hvor: Further advantages, embodiments and details will emerge from the subclaims and from the following description with reference to the drawing, where:
Fig. 1 viser en vest ifølge oppfinnelsen i perspektiv, Fig. 1 shows a vest according to the invention in perspective,
fig. 2 viser vesten i utslått tilstand sett innenfra, og fig. 3 viser vesten i utslått tilstand, sett fra utsiden. fig. 2 shows the vest in its unfolded state seen from the inside, and fig. 3 shows the vest in its unfolded state, seen from the outside.
I fig. 1, the new vest lo is shown in perspective. The vest 10 mainly consists of a belt part 12 which is divided into a front
Shoulder straps 20 and 22 are attached to the upper edge 18 of the belt part. Both harnesses 20 and 22 are preferably divided in height by tensioning buckles 24 and 26 and can be adjusted in length with the help of these, so that a great fit can be achieved with regard to different torso lengths. Such accuracy can also be achieved with braces that are not divided. In order to adapt the straps 20 and 22 to the body movements, rubber stretch parts 28 and 30 have been inserted which enable an elastic contact of the shoulder straps against the patient's upper body.
Posen kan åpnes langs sidekantene ved hjelp av glidelåsene 36 og 38, On the outside of the front part 14, as can be seen in fig. 1 and 3, a pocket 32 is placed where a bag 34 can be inserted. This bag contains the desired nutrient solution. The bag can be opened along the side edges using the zips 36 and 38,
The bag 34 usually has a holding volume of around 1 litre, but can, however, when folded accordingly, hold a smaller amount of nutrient solution, which is important in the case of smaller pockets such as those found, for example, in vests intended for children.
The pocket 32 has an opening 42 below the zipper 38, and through this opening a probe line 44 can be connected to the bag 34. The line 44 is inserted into a pump 46. This pump is usually designed as a roller pump. The pump 46 is located in a pocket 48 which is preferably provided on its outside with an insulating layer, to achieve sound attenuation and shock protection. The pocket has lateral slits 50 and 52 through which the probe line can be fed into the pump.
For bedre fastholding av pumpen 46 er lommen 48 lukkbar med For better retention of the pump 46, the pocket 48 can be closed with
en klaff 54 med tilhørende klafflås 56. Klafflåsen kan føres gjennom en åpning 58 i klaffen 54 og sperres. a flap 54 with an associated flap lock 56. The flap lock can be passed through an opening 58 in the flap 54 and locked.
The back part 16 has a horizontally extending rubber band which provides elastic adaptation to the patient's movement. Strip-shaped Velcro sections 62 and 64 are also arranged on the outside of the back part, visible in the open state of the vest, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the body.
The complementary Velcro parts 66 and 68 are arranged on the inside of the front part 14 and run mainly horizontally. These Velcro parts are likewise designed as strips and can be firmly connected to the respective Velcro parts 62 and 64 on the back part. When assembled, the Velcro strips are mainly arranged at right angles to each other and thus provide optimal adaptation. The width of the belt as well as the arrangement of the front and back parts in relation to each other can be varied as needed within the given measurements, so that a wide clothing size range is covered.
Instead of Velcro, you can of course use other common fasteners, such as zips, hooks etc.
In a special embodiment, rings 70 and 72 are arranged along the side edges of the back part. Through these rings, a fastening band can be pulled, if further attachment or cohesion is desired. This band can be attached to the back part.
Ved en slik utførelse ender naturligvis selene 20 og 22 In another embodiment, the back part 16 is pulled up to the shoulders. In such an embodiment, the seals 20 and 22 naturally end
i skulderhøyden og strekker seg ikke videre over skulderen og ned langs ryggen. at shoulder height and does not extend further over the shoulder and down the back.
for borrelåsene 62-68 er det på fordelaktig måte valgt den nevnte strimmelutførelse, fordi dette opphever låsens formstivhet og gir en mer bekvem håndtering av vesten 10. for the Velcro fasteners 62-68, the above-mentioned strip design has been advantageously chosen, because this cancels out the fastener's dimensional rigidity and provides more convenient handling of the vest 10.
Vanligvis vil beltedelen 12 for voksne personer ha en bredde The vest itself is made of an air-permeable and cookable material, preferably cotton, and the vest is therefore comfortable. Generally, the belt part 12 for adults will have a width
15-30 cm, preferably approx. 20-23, so that it can be worn conveniently between the lower rib cage and the hip area.
In this way, the natural movement function is not affected. Furthermore, the entire arm section is free, so that the arms have unrestricted movement. The rubber stretch parts/elements used enable an individual adaptation of the vest. Therefore, the patient can both stand and sit and perform movements. The vest can be worn relatively well hidden under clothing, and this naturally has a psychologically beneficial effect on the patient's rehabilitation.
