Description
The present invention relates to a method for filling spillable goods in large sacks, particularly sacks with a volume corresponding to at least 250 litres, where each sack comprises an outer sack of strong load-bearing material and an inner sack, preferably of plastic, and where the inner sack is blown up with air before filling in the spillable goods.
Det er tidligere kjent, f.eks. fra britisk patent It is previously known, e.g. from British patent
No. 1,243,727 to use air to inflate a bag. In the aforementioned British patent, the bag must be pressed against the walls of a supporting container so that the volume of the bag approximately corresponds to that of the container. With this known method, however, there is a risk that the volume of the bag may become smaller than the container and the method is not suitable for bags of the size that is the subject of the present invention.
The purpose of the invention is to ensure that the volume of the inner bag is utilized to the maximum by having it lie close to the outer, strong, load-bearing bag, so that you will not get air pockets between the two bags and so that the inner bag does not lie in folds at filling in the spillable goods.
In addition to the method according to the invention ensuring full utilization of the bags' volume, the work required for placing and filling the bags must also be reduced to a minimum, and this has been achieved by using air to expand the inner sack and supplied in such quantities that both the inner and outer sack will stand upright on one surface without any other form of support, after which the spillable goods are filled in a manner known per se, while at the same time the quantity of air supplied is significantly reduced or completely shut off .
The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method and it comprises a tube which is preferably telescopic and has an air supply line connected between the outlet of the tube and a valve for regulating the supply of flowable material.
The invention is characterized by the features set out in the claims and will be explained in more detail in the following with reference to the drawing where: Figs 1-4 show different steps during erecting and filling a double-walled large sack which holds at least 250 liters of spillable goods, e.g. fertilizer for transport directly from the producer to larger consumers.
The bag is made up of an outer bag 1 of strong material that can withstand the loads the bag is exposed to and of an inner bag 2, preferably made of plastic. As shown in fig. 1, the inner sack 2 lies loosely inside the outer sack, and the mouth 3 of both sacks is drawn onto a filling pipe 4 which has a valve 4 for regulating the supply of the loose material 6 to be filled in the sacks 1, 2. The pipe 4 has a connected air supply line 7 which leads to a source of compressed air (not shown), and when it is opened for the supply of air under pressure through the pipe 4, the bag 1, 2 will rise up, as shown in fig. 2, where the inner bag 2 fills out the outer bag 1 and where both bags stand with their full volume ready for filling with loose mass. The tube 4 can be telescopic in that it is movable on a stationary tube 8....
Godset faller av sin egen vekt gjennom rørene 8 og 4 og fyllingen fore-går så hurtig at et visst overtrykk bibeholdes i sekken .1,2 After the bag has been raised and unfolded as shown in fig. 2, the air supply through the pipe 7 is shut off, at the same time as the valve 5 for the rippling goods 6 is opened. The goods fall of their own weight through pipes 8 and 4 and the filling takes place so quickly that a certain overpressure is maintained in the bag. 1,2
During filling, the bottom of the bag 1,2 will follow the base 9 on which it stands, and as it fills, the tube 4 is pulled up. In fig. 4, the bag 1,2 is shown filled, ready for "mulling" and further dispatch. If the loose goods that are filled in the bag emit dust, can. a device 10 is used to extract dust. It is only shown schematically in the figures,
g it has the form of a cap with connection 11 to a suction source with a dust filter.
The present method and device is particularly advantageous when filling large sacks according to Norwegian patent no. 124,056. Said bag has a filling opening in the form of a split in the middle of the top of the outer bag. This split can be adapted to the diameter of the filling pipe so that the inner bag around the pipe is not crushed during the filling process.
