Abstract

An accessory for use with a container for a liquid, such as paint, which is taken out of the container with the aid of an applicator tool, such as a brush or a spatula, can be placed on the top edge of the container. The accessory comprises a circumferential wall and a covering wall which faces inwards with respect to the said circumferential wall and is provided with a central opening which is smaller than the opening of the container. The covering wall is recessed in step form, while the circumferential wall extends beyond the recessed steps of the covering wall, as seen in the vertical direction of the container.
