Abstract

The present invention provides an apparatus for generating light effects, in particular for use in television broadcasts, the apparatus comprising: - a box having at least one light-transmitting (optically transparent) wall; - a number of light sources which are associated with one another and are fitted within the box, at least two of which light sources are of different colour; and - control means for controlling the light intensity of each number of light sources or each light source separately.

In het bijzonder bij televisie-uitzendingen is belichting van groot belang. Er dient belicht te worden over het gehele gebied van een decor met een voldoende intensiteit teneinde een helder beeld op de camera te krijgen. Claims

Device for generating light effects, in particular for applications in television broadcasts, the device comprising: - a cabinet with at least one translucent wall; a number of associated light sources arranged in the box, at least two of which have a different color; and - control means for controlling the light intensity of each number of light sources or each light source separately.

Device as claimed in claim 1, wherein each number of associated light sources each comprises three lamps of the basic colors red, green and resp. blue.

Device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein the box is of substantially closed design.

Device as claimed in claim 1, provided with one or more switching elements which are each connected between a dimmer and a lamp.

Device as claimed in claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the impermeable walls of the cabinet are provided with a light-reflecting coating, preferably white paint.

The device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein each number of lamps is connected to a dimmer for dimming the light intensity of the number of lamps.

The device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the lamp is an incandescent lamp with a power of 5 watts or more.
