Abstract

A plastic container, such as a crate, a stackable tray or the like, is provided with a peripheral edge which is able to act as a support or abutment edge or as a handle. This peripheral edge comprises a profiled section which is in the shape of an inverted U and comprises an inner flange or wall section and an outer flange which runs substantially parallel to the inner flange.
