Abstract

The suspension unit for a framed print or painting may be suspended from a nail, hook or existing picture rail. A vertical slide rod (1) has at the top a hook shaped nose (2) which may be hooked into an arbitrary e.g. picture rail (3). A self-locking resilient steel strip type slide bracket (4) has both ends (5) bent towards each other. A through hole (6) slides over the slide rod. By simply releasing finger pressure on both bent parts (5), the slide bracket will lock itself into any required position on the vertical slide rod.
