Abstract

The paper collecting vehicle has a lid (10) with one or more slots (2) for paper insertion. The hinged lid is fitted with a gas-tight valve unit. The top of the container has, against the rear wall, a tank (6) filled with a fire extinguishing gas. The tank has a valve nozzle (7) opened by a smoke and/or heat detector. Alternatively the valve unit may be of the sprinkler type, or a fusible cartridge may be fitted. Brushes or resilient metal strip or metal flaps (13) are positioned to close under their own weight.
