Abstract

The protective cap is intended for fitting around the brake mechanism on the inside of a car wheel, particularly an aluminium sports wheel, to prevent discoloration of the wheel due to particles of brake material settling. It fits on the wheel hub around the brake mechanism and inside the rim of the wheel secured on the hub after fitting the cap. It may consist of anodised aluminium and is pref. black to provide colour contrast with the wheel.
