Abstract

The method encloses the root ball of a plant, bush or tree in an elastic stocking, a length of stocking material being fitted over a fixed body with an annular edge, one end of the stocking protruding beyond the latter. The protruding end of the stocking is pulled shut, and the root ball is pushed through the annular opening. The part of the stocking below the ball is then parted off from the rest and stocking part and the ball are lifted out.
