Abstract

The electronic code reading machine esp. for machine tools, is designed for code cards using small magnets, and makes use of the Hall effect. A Hall generator (H1) is mounted between the base terminals of two transistors (T1, T2). These form one stage each of a differential amplifier, with transistors (T3, T4) connected in parallel, each of these latter transistors being in series with a rectifier diode (L1, L2). Two further transistors (T5, T6) are each connected in parallel with the differential amplifiers, and have a light emitting diode (L3, L4) in series, one with each, one diode being red for a north pole and green for a south pole. A similar circuit arrangement with a second Hall generator (H2) is connected in parallel.

Een voor de links en een voor de rechts liggende magneetjes.bases of Ί3 and Τ4 »The setting is controlled so that the diodes L1 and L2 just glow. The circuit is then set to its most sensitive. In the drawing 1 we see an example circuit in which two hall generators 5 are used. One for the left and one for the right magnets.

The calibration of the machine can be done with a normal magnet with known polarity. Hereafter it is noted on the outside of the copier that e.g. the LED lights up red and the south is green. Both light emitting diodes are designed as two in one.

In a guide slot 6, the runner finds the necessary guidance where the guide bolts 7 and S hold the runner in place. At the end of the runner 2o is a scale 9 where arrows 10 and 11 indicate the positions of the magnets. On the base plate the two hall generators are glued 12 and 13%

Verder zijn de t*/ee potmeters 14,16 voor linies en 15γ17 voor rechts naar buiten uitgevoerd.Furthermore, the t * / ee potentiometers 14,16 for lines and 15γ17 for right outwards.
