Abstract

The drum has an opening (3) closable by a lid. The drum portion (4) surrounding the opening is provided with an outwardly open circumferential annular groove (8) and the lid has a radially inward flange (18) fitting in the groove and extending over part of the lid circumference. The lid further has a radially outward flange (14) below the flange (18). the width of this flange (14) gradually varies along the circumference, and it grips below the drum portion (4). The flange (18) may be connected with a rib (16) surrounding a skirt (13) of the lid, the rib having a recess containing a seal (17), whilst the flange (14) extends from the lower end of the skirt.
