Abstract

The plastic junction box or similar fitting is made with a mounting plate for fixing to a hollow wall. It involves embedding a metal plate in the wall. The metal plate has one or several holes to fit the junction box. There are inward projections (5) which fit the contour of the junction box (4). The box is fitted by force, making use of the flexibility of the projections. The free ends (6) of the projections grip into the outside of the box and prevent it from becoming dislodged. There are stops which limit the distance to which the box is pushed into the wall.
