Abstract

The movable breakwater has buoyancy devices, and can be sunk onto the seabed by ballasting. It comprisess a pontoon (1) with a watertight top deck (2), which in the sunken condition forms a breakwater surface (10) extending along it and sloping sideways. This allows protected working on the lee side (14) of the pontoon. A sloping breakwater surface can be built up on the deck, and/or the pontoon can be caused to settle on the seabed with a list.
