Abstract

Pharmaceutical compsns. with high enteral resorbability comprise solns. or microcrystalline suspensions of medicaments having low natural resorbability in partial glycerides of long-chain fatty acids. The partial glycerides can be mono- and/or diglucerides of satd. and/or unsatd. 12-18C (pref. 14-18C) fatty acids, esp. palmitic, stearic and/or oleic acid. The compsns. have higher activity (as measured by LD50 values) and give higher blood levels and renal excretion rates than compsns. based on conventional vehicles (e.g. H2O or tylose) when administered orally or rectally.
