Abstract

The shock-load absorbing device is particularly for the protection of a motorway central strip. It comprises a number of annular bodies (1) joined together and of elastic material. The bodies can be reinforced and of trough-shaped cross-section, typically in the form of vehicle tyres. The device can consist of a mat extending in the lengthwise direction and formed by three or more strips of bodies joined together to give a triangular cross-section, and inside it there can be extra upright tyre.
