Abstract

The system incorporated in air conditioning units cools a current of air by indirect heat exchange with a second current of air, the latter being cooled by vaporising water in it. The first current, immediately after cooling by heat exchange, is divided into a first part which is used as the second current in which water is vapourised, and a second one discharged as cooled air. Water can be sprayed into the second current before it enters the heat exchanger, spraying being repeated at least once during heat exchange.
