Abstract

The fluid flow limitation device is particularly for a public water supply system, keeping the flow constant at a pressure above a predetermined level. It comprises a housing fitting in the water main, and with one or more passages (2, 4) through it. Near the passages, a spring-loaded component(7) is mounted, movable in relation to them, its effective surface area being roughly the same as theirs. The spring effect can be provided by the flexibility of the material of which the component is made.
