Abstract

The non-cylindrical item transporter is for items widening towards the top, particularly plant pots, which it conveys to and from gratings and other supports. It has a horizontal fork (10) whose prongs are moved in vertical planes between the items in a row, so as to lift them up and deposit on another surface. The fork can be arranged to tilt on a horizontal axis on its mounting, to move the prongs between the horizontal and vertical positions, and also to slide in the lengthwise direction to move the items. The prongs can be movable through a right angle in the vertical plane.
