Abstract

The cap is for a pot or barrel etc., and in two parts, one of them (7) being flexible and at an angle to the pot wall (1), while the other (11) is the sleeve portion of the cap, and clear of the wall. A peripheral recess is formed of stepped dia., one step dia. being less than that of the flexible part and the other greater. Thus on fitting the cap to the pot and pressing down the flexible part is enclosed in the smaller -dia. step, and then comes to rest in the larger one on pressing the cap right down. There can be a flexible lip near the top edges of the pot and at right angles to it, fitting in the stepped recess in the cap.
