Abstract

The alarm system is for the protection of a number of separate items, esp. of goods on display in shop premises, with a detector circuit coupled to a series of detectors which are located in the neighbourhood of each item to be protected. The relationship of each detector to the object it proects is such that if the object is removed a signal is generated in the detector circuit which raises an audio or visual alarm and at the same time an indication of the specific detector triggering the alarm. The detectors may take the form of light-dependent resistors normally covered by the protected object and exposed to the room lighting if the object is removed.
