Abstract

The ball-game striker implement has a curved striking portion at the lower end, mounted on a handle. The hollow handle and the striking portion are of plastic, and the handle can typically be a tube of impact-resistant material such as PVC and closed by a plug at the top end. The striking portion can be of foam plastic, pref. polyurethane foam rubber with closed skin. The end of the handle fitting it it can be flattened by compression of the tube, and the rounded section of the handle can merge from roughly halfway along it gradually into a flattened portion, the end of which is chamfered.
