Abstract

In a sepg. device, partic. for haemodialysis and comprising in known manner (a) least one bundle of tubular, selectively permeable, membranes connected in parallel and placed in a housing, the ends of which are supported by support elements (b) a first chamber for a medium divided from the interior of the sepg. device by the membranes and a second chamber for a medium situated within the housing but outside the membranes, the medium chambers each having feed and discharge openings for the feed and discharge of a first and second medium, the media being able to enter into exchange via th membrane walls, the improvement whereby the membrane bundle lies between the support elements against at least one restriction of the second medium chamber situated on the inner wall of the housing and extending mainly in the peripheral direction of the bundle. Pref. the constriction is annular and is formed by a separate ring, pref. elastic, located in the housing.
