Abstract

The plant support consists of a container with four support points, movable on guides to and from the central path in a hothouse. The guides are cylindrical components (4, 6), and some of the support points (5) consist of pairs of rollers (7) inclined to each other and on opposite sides of the vertical plane through the component. The other points comprise conventional rollers (2). The angle between the inclined rollers can be 45 deg., and the guides can be pipes. The design avoids the need for special guide rails, and indeed allows existing heater pipes to be used as the guides.
