Abstract

The mill comprises a separate head complete with the grinding mechanism, the head being fitted into any one of a number of spice containers by means of a flange. This flange can have several diameters for a range of container sizes and is held by a push in friction fit. The grinding mechanism consists of a helically toothed rotor (3) attached to a turning device and surrounded by an internally toothed ring (4). The ring (4) engages a stop plate on the rotor, the stop plate having holes passing spices in one position of the mill head. The turning device has indented sides to allow ground spice to pass from between the wheels.
