Abstract

The punch is for marking uneven surfaces with numbers, letters etc, having a number of support faces for the different characters. The faces are spring-supported independently of each other (8). The characters can be contained in a number of sets, from which selected ones can be brought into the working position (6a-e) by mechanisms which are spring-mounted independently of each other, and work in guides at right angles to the plane of the support faces. The mechanisms can have slots through which a non-round, typically square-section, pin fits.
